A Level Results Press Release 2023
St Mark’s celebrate another excellent A Level results day.
A Level results were again strong at St Mark’s with extremely good performances from the whole cohort. There were smiles, laughter and tears of joy as students received their results. The vast majority of students were placed at their first choice of university with others securing insurance places. Retiring Headteacher Elaine Heaphy said, I am delighted to see so many of our students so happy today. This day is always special, the culmination of so much work as I watch the future vets, doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers and businesspeople walk out with their results. They have been a credit to the school and to their parents. They have been supported by some exceptional and inspirational teachers and to see the outcome of collective efforts like this is so affirming”.
Chloe Cheung (AAB)
Chloe achieved grades AAB and has secured a place at Queen Mary University to read Marketing and Management. Chloe said she is delighted. “The last few days have been stressful waiting for the results. But this shows that if you put the effort in you get the results”.
Alex George (A*AB)
Alex is going to the University of Southampton to Read Economics and Data Science. Alex said “I am really happy that I got these results, and they allow me to get to university. I am excited to go to university and excited for my future”.
Sarah Gillman (Distinction Star AA)
Sarah achieved a Distinction Star and 2 A Grades and will be going to the University of Hertfordshire to read for a degree in Education. Sarah said “I am really pleased with my results, and I have had some really supportive teachers who went above and beyond for me. I am so grateful”.
Hannah Hopkins (A*A*A)
Hannah achieved 2 A* grades and 1 A and has secured a place at the Royal Veterinary College. Hannah has worked exceptionally hard to get where she is and managed her studies alongside her role of Head Girl. Hannah said “I am really happy with my results, and I could not have done this without my teachers. I am really looking forward to starting my career”.
Isaac Parker (AAB)
Isaac achieved grades AAB and will be going to the University of Loughborough to read Business Management. Isaac said “I am so grateful for the chances I was given at St Mark’s and really pleased with my results. I would like to thank my teachers for everything they have done for me”.
Hannah Pragg (Distinction Star BB)
Hannah achieved a Distinction Star and 2 B grades and has secured a place at the University of Lincoln to read Psychology. Hannah said “I am absolutely thrilled at my results and can’t believe that I am going to university. I am so excited for the future”.
Wiktoria Siemiginowska (AAB)
Wiktoria achieved grades AAB and has secured a place at the University of Surrey to read Biological Sciences. Wiktoria was thrilled with her results and said “I am extremely grateful for the education and opportunities I have received at St Mark’s. I am able to fulfil my ambition of studying at university and I am so pleased”.
Oliver Miziolek (AAB)
Oliver achieved grades AAB and will be going to the University of Surrey to read for a degree in Maths. Oliver was delighted with his results and said, “St Mark’s is an excellent school, teachers always give you a lot of support and are always there for you”.
Rosie Dollard (ABB)
Rosie achieved grades AAB and will be reading Primary Education at the University of Hertfordshire. Rosie said “I am really pleased with my results. I got much more than I needed, and I am very happy. I have had lots of support from the school, and I am so pleased with the education I have received”.
Luke Richardson (BC a)
Luke achieved B and C at A Level with an A Grade at AS Level. Luke said, “No matter what obstacles you face you can pull through”. Luke is going to the University of Hertfordshire to read International Business.
Phoebe Taylor (BBB)
Phoebe achieved grades BBB and has secured a place at the University of Bristol to read English Literature. Phoebe said, “I am excited to go to Bristol and I really appreciate all the help and support I have received”.
