Press Release A Level Results 2022

St Mark’s A / AS level Results Day August 2022

After yet another year of uncertainty for pupils, staff, and parents, at St Mark’s we are celebrating the hard work, resilience and resolve that have led today to continuing success, with A level pupils once again achieving results that have enabled them to go to universities, often the first in their family.

The resilience our pupils have shown under such conditions is remarkable. They are all exceptional, inspiring, and talented young people and we couldn’t be prouder of them. A delighted Headteacher, Elaine Heaphy, congratulated both pupils and staff.

“Congratulations to all on making it through an incredibly tough two years. Most were unable to sit GCSEs in 2020 and so this summer’s exams were the first external assessments the pupils took. It’s a tremendous achievement, and we are very proud of all of them. I would like to put on record my thanks to pupils, staff and parents for what was an exemplary team effort.” There were many examples of outstanding individual performances. These include amongst many others: Alice Wybrew (A, A, A), Jonathan Van Der Lith (A, A, B), Hannah Uwins (A*, A, B), Mille Upton (Distinction*, B, B), Kirsty Mojzes (A, B, D), Danny Leahy (A, B, B), Abdul Kassim (A, C, Merit), Corey Jackson-Hoare (a, B, B), Leah Gonzalez Rodriguez (A*, A, A), Laura De-Souza (A*, B, C) Our Sixth Form draws from all the other schools in Harlow, and we would congratulate these schools for their work in successfully getting these pupils through GCSE studies and giving them the grounding for A Level study. We are sure that they will share in this success. We look forward to welcoming the ‘new’ Year 12 cohort in September”.
