Yr 7 Disco

Over 100 year 7 pupils attended a disco at St Mark’s on Friday 24 November to celebrate their first term here. The event was organised by our year 13 Travel and Tourism students (Eleanor Farley, Connor Garner, Emily Luker, Charlotte Mercer and Saige Middlecott) as part of their A level coursework. The disco had a travel theme to fit in with the course and competitions were run throughout the evening, including  “Name that flag”, “Guess how many sweets in the jar” and a dance-off.

The Sixth form students had worked incredibly hard to make the event happen, organising a professional DJ,  raising funds by selling refreshments at the “St Mark’s has Talent” evening and running a stall at the recent Christmas Fayre.

Early feedback indicates that the year 7 pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the DJ commented that they were the best behaved group of youngsters he had ever entertained.

Well done Year 7, and well done to the Sixth form students involved.
